Hi! I came across your blog while doing a search for Hibernian Hall; I'm actually thinking of having my wedding there next year. Did you like it? Would you recommend it? I'm just looking for a local place that's not too expensive and that I can decorate to fit in with our Halloween theme. Did you have Berries do the catering?
Sorry for all the questions! You're the only person I've come across so far who has already had their wedding reception there.

Hibernian Hall is a beautiful space...and I know when we rented it for our wedding back in 2006, the price was quite reasonable.
It's even better if you're planning to have a daytime event there -- because the huge windows there provide TONS of sunlight...even on cloudy days. The place looked gorgeous during the afternoon/early evening portion of our wedding reception.
While we were planning our wedding, and shopping around for halls, the folks over there gave us a tour - you should call them and schedule an appointment so you can see the place for yourself.
We also attended a dinner tasting hosted by their in-house caterer, Berries (which we had to use, that was part of the agreement for renting the hall). The food from Berries was great, and the prices were lower than almost all of the other wedding caterers we had looked at.
So yeah...I'm really happy we had our wedding reception at Hibernian Hall - I'd highly recommend it! ....and if you have any other specific questions, feel free to email me at emily [dot] sweeney [at] yahoo
